Leeds Tykes coach Phil Davies says he is not interested in taking over at Newport Gwent Dragons next season. "Leeds is where I am at the moment and this is where I'll be next season," Davies told BBC Wales Sport.
"I've got two years left on my deal. We've built something quite unique here over the last nine years."
Lynn Howells has applied for the Rodney Parade job, but Harlequins defence coach Paul Turner is the favourite to take over from Chris Anderson.
Ex-Wales and Newport fly-half Turner, who has a year to run on his deal at Harlequins, has already held discussions with the Dragons.
Harlequins are just two points clear of the bottom of the Zurich Premiership and it is understood Turner wants to secure their future before dealing with his own.
Howells has been coaching Italian side Leonessa since losing his job in Wales when the Celtic Warriors were disbanded.
Former Wales number eight Davies has guided Leeds to the Powergen Cup final this season, despite currently sitting bottom of the Premiership table.
He says he has plenty of unfinished business at the Tykes.
"Whenever I leave - and it could be in two years, five years or another 10 years - I want to make sure the club is in a real vibrant position, and we are at the moment," said Davies.
"We've got a lot of young players coming through and the whole thing is very exciting."
