Taylor joined Stade Francais from Edinburgh in the summer |
Scotland forward Simon Taylor is a major injury worry for the opening game of the Six Nations against France. The Stade Francais number eight has had a pin removed after ripping a tendon in his thumb last month and could miss the clash at Murrayfield on 3 February.
He now has the thumb in an external splint, which will be removed within 10 days, but could be available for the game against Wales the week after.
Ally Hogg, Johnnie Beattie or Dave Callam are in line to take his place.
