The SRU do not want Frank Hadden's holiday to be permanent |
Scotland head coach Frank Hadden will be urged to sign a new contract after his post-World Cup holiday. The 53-year-old's current deal ended after the finals, where Scotland reached the last eight, with talks on an extension expected shortly.
And Scottish Rugby Union chief executive Gordon McKie told the Daily Mail: "We want Frank to stay as national coach.
"And I will be telling him that myself personally soon."
Hadden said after Scotland bowed out to Argentina in their 7 October quarter-final in Paris that he would take time out to consider his future.

"I know that Frank has done a great job and players have stated publicly that he should be given a new contract," added McKie.
"We feel the same and will now sit down and say, 'Right Frank, here's a pen, let's get this done'."
