Frank Hadden was pleased with the control at Murrayfield |
Frank Hadden says the 48-6 win over Romania is further proof of Scotland's progress and the increasing strength in depth of his squad. "The quality of the squad is increasing," Scotland's head coach told BBC Sport. "And competition for places is increasing all the time.
"All in all, I thought it was a pretty good performance and they made us work extremely hard.
"They are difficult to play against, but we stuck to our task."
Hadden had gone into the game urging his team to "smash" Romania with an avalanche of points.
That did not quite materialise.
But Hadden said: "We kept our shape reasonably well though, perhaps, we tired in the last 10 or 15 minutes and made one or two elementary errors.
"But, up until then, it was a good effort.
"We tried to experiment a bit without sacrificing the goal of winning and we did that."
