Leonardo de Olivera has withdrawn from Uruguay's World Cup squad after pulling a calf muscle. Lock De Olivera, who plays for Carrasco Polo Club, has been replaced in the 30-man squad by winger Jose Viana.
That changes the balance of coach Diego Ormaechea's squad, which now mixes 14 backs with 16 forwards.
Uruguay are in Pool C, along with England, and will face South Africa in their opening match on 11 October.
