Andrew Mower's World Cup was ended before it began in training |
Scotland flanker Andrew Mower is on the mend after undergoing surgery to reconstruct the anterior cruciate ligament to his left knee. The injury, caused during training, forced the Australian-born player to withdraw from the Scotland World Cup squad.
He has now spent two nights in a Brisbane hospital after having had surgery and is expected to be released from hospital on Monday morning.
Mower, who was replaced in the squad with Cameron Mather, is already targeting Scotland's tour of Australia next year as his comeback to the international scene.
