Woodward was delighted with England's defence against the Boks |
England coach Clive Woodward insists his side will not fall foul of complacency against next opponents Samoa. The two sides meet in Melbourne on Sunday, with England hotly tipped for a comfortable victory.
But Woodward said his side would not be taking the contest lightly and expected the Pacific Islanders to be fired up.
He said: "There is absolutely no chance of any complacency.
"If you turn the ball over against Samoa, then they are quicker than most people.
"England will still field a very strong team, and we are back in the Telstra Dome, where we beat Australia 25-14, and 3-1 on tries, in June."
Woodward will announce his starting XV on Wednesday, with Stuart Abbott expected to take Will Greenwood's place at centre.
And Iain Balshaw, Mark Regan and Julian White look set for their first tournament starts.
Samoa, who will delay their team announcement until Friday, will be without wing Ron Fanautua, who limped off in the 46-9 win over Georgia and has been ruled out of the remaining tournament with a knee injury.
England, with only the Samoans and Georgia still to face, look set to top Pool C having overcome chief rivals South Africa.
The Springboks were defeated 25-6 at the weekend, with Woodward praising his side's defence for the win.
"On reflection, our defence against South Africa was outstanding, but we will be very critical about the amount of ball we turned over," added Woodward.
"It was one of England's greatest ever defensive performances, but our attacking play was way off it."
