Garvey has scored 80 points for the Warriors since joining in 2006 |
Worcester Warriors winger Marcel Garvey has signed a new two-year deal, keeping him at the club until 2012. The 26-year-old joined Warriors from local rivals Gloucester in 2006 and has scored 80 points in 64 appearances. "I feel settled here at Worcester and have really enjoyed my time at Sixways," Garvey told the club website. "I'm now looking ahead to the second part of this season, and playing my part to help push the club up the Premiership table." Garvey scored 50 points in his first two seasons at Sixways, which earned him a two-year deal back in 2008. | I'm sure it won't be too long before we see him nailing down even more try-scoring opportunities for Warriors. Since then he has been a regular in the side as well as making a name at international level, representing England Under-21s and England Sevens. "He is a class finisher and has worked really hard at his game over the last few seasons," said director of rugby Mike Ruddock. "There haven't been a huge amount of try-scoring opportunities since the introduction of the new tackle law. However, when that eases off and the wingers get more of the ball, there is no better finisher. "I'm sure it won't be too long before we see him nailing down even more try scoring opportunities for Warriors."
