Sixways set for new record crowd

Sixways stadium
Sixways is set to host over 11,000 fans on Sunday

Worcester Warriors' local derby with Gloucester on Sunday 22 March will draw their biggest ever crowd at Sixways.

The previous attendance record of 10,836 came against Leicester Tigers earlier this season.

Warriors general manager Charlie Little said it will be a big day for the Guinness Premiership club.

"This game is a real opportunity for the people of Worcester to come and watch their team on what is set to be a memorable and historic day," he said.

"We have been thrilled by the level of support and the amount of people that will now be part of a record-breaking day for Warriors," Little added.

"It will be fantastic to see the Slick Systems Stand full and there is still the chance to be part of a great sporting spectacle.

"We will have a passionate and atmospheric crowd here on derby day and tickets remain on sale now to be a part of that."

There will be full commentary on Worcester Warriors v Gloucester on BBC Hereford & Worcester on 104 FM and online.
