Worcester A side stung by Wasps

Ben Jones scored Warriors' only points in the disappointing defeat

Worcester Warriors were well beaten 29-5 by Wasps in the Guinness A League at Sixways.

Quick thinking from replacement scrum half Ben Jones created a clever opportunist try, but Warriors never recovered from a poor start.

Wycombe-based Wasps, who had several well-known names in the line-up, led 14-0 at half-time.

Three second-half tries followed as Warriors struggled in front of another impressive Monday night home crowd.

Warriors named a team full of players eager to impress and stake a first-team recall, and were skippered for the night by James Collins.
