Drahm joined Worcester from Northampton in 2005 |
Worcester have confirmed fly-half Shane Drahm is to leave Sixways for Japan's Kubota Spears at the end of the season. Drahm had announced he was to play in Japan, but his excellent form late in the season led to speculation he might stay at Worcester next season. But director of rugby Mike Ruddock told BBC Hereford and Worcester Sunday's European Challenge Cup Final will be Drahm's last appearance for the club. Worcester will take on Bath in the final at Gloucester's Kingsholm ground. | 606:DEBATE |
The Warriors have also announced that head coach Clive Griffiths has signed a one-year extension to his contract. Griffiths, who was part of Ruddock's coaching staff when he led Wales to the Grand Slam in 2005, joined the Warriors from National One club, Doncaster. Meanwhile, scrum-half Ryan Powell has told BBC Hereford and Worcester he has withdrawn from the Barbarians squad as he is likely to figure in the Warriors' squad for Sunday's final.
