Gillies was dismissed in the dying seconds of the game |
Worcester lock Craig Gillies has been banned for two weeks after pleading guilty to two charges of stamping. Gillies was called to face a three-man disciplinary panel after being sent off at the Memorial Stadium on 7 April for stamping on Bristol's Joe El Abd.
He could have been suspended for five weeks but the panel reduced the ban because of his good character and the circumstances of the incident.
Gillies may still face disciplinary action from Worcester.
"We have the wherewithal to invoke our own disciplinary process," said the club's director of rugby John Brain earlier this week.
