Worcester's EDF Energy Cup win over the Dragons was marred by a serious-looking injury to Gavin Quinnell.
The former Wales lock was taken off on a stretcher in great pain after hurting his knee in a first-half ruck.
Aisea Havili scored tries in each half to put the hosts on their way to a win in a dead-rubber Group D encounter.
James Brown also crossed, and kicked eight points, as the Dragons were limited to a converted Nic Fitisemanu try and a Ceri Sweeney penalty.
Worecester director of rugby John Brain on Gavin Quinnell's injury:
"Gavin's got a medial ligament strain, but the swelling has to go down before it's scanned." He added: "I think defence probably won us the game and it was clearly defence that did the trick just before halftime.
"Had they scored then and we'd turned around 7-7 it would have been a different game.
Dragons head coach Paul Turner:
"The crucial point was just before half time. I thought a few of them were going to the sin-bin. "I felt we matched them physically, which was key to our training during the week and we came to terms with their line-out.
"We came to terms with the line-out but there were too many handling errors and the game disappeared from us."
