Chris Wyles silences Saracens critics

Wyles has previously had spells with Nottingham and Northampton

Winger Chris Wyles says Sunday's 50-7 win over Sale shows that Saracens are intent on playing attacking rugby.

The Unites States international scored three of Sarries' eight tries in a win that could not prevent them from going out of the LV= Cup.

"We want to score tries. Sometimes we're criticised for not scoring enough tries and too much kicking," the 27-year-old told BBC Three Counties Radio.

"We are about attack, keeping the ball, running straight and we did that."

Saracens missed out on a place in the semi-finals because of Newport-Gwent Dragons' win over Scarlets and now prepare to face Northampton Saints in the Premiership on Saturday.

"This is a great confidence boost ahead of the Premiership games coming up," added Wyles.

"It was a complete performance but we don't want to get carried away.

"We've got a massive challenge in the next couple of weeks, we've got Leicester, we've got Wasps and obviously that Northampton fixture."
