Saracens buoyant after sure start - Chris Wyles

Chris Wyles
Wyles has played 47 times for Saracanes since arriving in 2008

Full-back Chris Wyles says there is a feel-good factor at Saracens after they recorded their fourth straight Premiership win on Sunday.

Sarries beat champions Leicester 26-20 to climb to third in the table after their initial defeat by London Irish.

"We've had some hard fixtures so we're feeling very good about the current run of form," the 26-year-old said.

"We're looking to push for the play-offs and to put ourselves in a good position before the Heineken Cup."

The USA-born player continued: "You can never put down Leicester, they're always fighting and at the end we got a bit rusty with the ball in hand, but we stuck it out."

Sarries trail Irish and Northampton in the Premiership table on 16 points but now turn their attention to the Heineken Cup for the next fortnight.

They face Clermont Auvergne at the Stade Marcel Michelin on Saturday, 9 October, before welcoming Leinster to Wembley on Saturday, 16 October.

"These games are a huge challenge," Wyles said.

"They don't get any easier but you want these tough games, they're awesome games to play in."
