Saracens demolished Rovigo 56-8 but still failed to make the Challenge Cup quarter-finals following Toulon's bonus-point victory over Castres.

Andy Saull scored a hat-trick and Michael Tagicakibau scored twice as Sarries claimed an eight-try victory.

That saw them top Pool Three temporarily on 22 points but Toulon's 42-10 win saw them jump ahead on 23.

Jonny Wilkinson kicked five penalties for the French side who also scored six tries against their opponents.
