Jonny Wilkinson (left) scored all Toulon's points against Saracens
Saracens recorded their first victory of the year with a resounding Challenge Cup win over Toulon at Vicarage Road.
But it may not be enough to keep them in the competition as once again they failed pick up a four-try bonus point, relying on Derrick Hougaard's kicking.
Jonny Wilkinson followed an early drop-goal with two penalties before Hougaard kicked Sarries into a half-time lead.
When both Toulon flankers in the sin-bin Saracens upped the pressure and Justin Melck scored their only try.
Going into the final round of group matches next week, Toulon still have the upper hand.
They are one point clear of Saracens at the top of Pool Three, and if the Londoners want to reach the knock-out stages of the competition, they must beat Rovigo next week and pick up a bonus point, while hoping Toulon fail to do the same against fellow French side Castres.
