Saracens scrum-half Justin Marshall has agreed to extend his stay at the club until the end of the 2009/10 season.

The former New Zealand Test star joined on a short-term contract from French club Montpellier in January.

Saracens rugby director Brendan Venter told the club website: "Justin is a fantastic competitor and a real winner.

"We are delighted that he will continue to be part of the squad next season. His knowledge and experience will continue to be a real asset."

Marshall is the most capped scrum-half in All Blacks history, making 81 appearances.

The 35-year-old has also had spells with Leeds Tykes and with the Ospreys since moving from Super 14 outfit Canterbury Crusaders.
