Kerr is heading back to the north of England |
Sale Sharks have signed Scotland front row forward Gavin Kerr from Edinburgh on a two-year deal. The 50 times-capped prop, 32, won his last Scotland cap against Ireland at Croke Park in the 2008 Six Nations. Sale rugby director Kingsley Jones said: "Gavin has a wealth of experience at the highest level. "He has the added extra of being able to play at both tight-head and loose-head. He has played in two World Cups and is another important signing." Former Leeds prop Kerr, who won his first of his half century of caps while still playing in Yorkshire, returned to Scotland to join Border Reivers in March 2006. He then moved to Edinburgh 17 months later following the demise of the Reivers and played his last game for the side from the Scottish capital in their 16-3 win over Cardiff Blues on 3 April.
