Kerr to leave Leeds for Borders
Gavin Kerr in action for Scotland during this season's Six Nations
Kerr has won 29 Scotland caps
Scotland prop Gavin Kerr will leave Leeds at the end of the season to join Border Reivers on a three-year deal.

The 28-year-old, capped 29 times, began his career with Berwick and also played for Borders outfit Jed-Forest.

Kerr said: "The Reivers have a great coaching set-up. Steve Bates has brought a lot and I know George Graham and Alan Tait very well from Scotland.

"My wife and I are expecting a baby and I grew up in Berwick, so my family ties are also in the Borders."

Borders head coach Bates insists the signing underlines the ambition of the professional team.

He said: "Gavin is a major signing for us having made a great contribution to the success of Scotland this season.

"It shows that we have serious intentions of continuing to be a competitive side next season and beyond."
