Sale boss eyes repeat performance

Sale coach Kingsley Jones
Jones believes the Sharks are a match for any side in the league or Europe

Sale head coach Kingsley Jones has said he wants the Sharks to maintain their recent standards to reign supreme.

The next four matches see Sale facing Clermont Auvergne and Munster plus London Irish and Worcester, who were winners at Edgeley Park in November.

Jones told BBC Radio Manchester: "If we perform like we did against Bath and Wasps, we can beat anybody.

"We're going to come up against tough sides and it's a massive three or four weeks for us."

They beat us a few weeks ago so that still hurts us and we'll be really looking forward to that one now

He added: "We can be in the top couple in the Premiership and we can be in the quarter-finals of the Heineken Cup if we get the right results.

"We've got players coming back from injury and hopefully a few decisions will go our way as well.

"If we perform like we can and we get a few decisions that go our way, I believe we can beat any side. The game in Munster, of course, is in the back of everyone's mind because it's a mouth-watering clash and a big game.

"But we've got some real hard work to do first with focusing on Worcester - down at Worcester. They beat us a few weeks ago so that still hurts us and we'll be really looking forward to that one now."
