Connor has played a big role at the Ospreys this season |
Ospreys fly-half Shaun Connor is facing six weeks out after fracturing a cheek bone in a collision with team-mate Brent Cockbain in the Connacht win. "Shaun collided with the back of my head so my 'Disaster' name-tag strikes again," said Cockbain.
The Ospreys could struggle to fill the number 10 shirt in their next game, in Edinburgh on 2 March.
They will hope to have James Hook or Gavin Henson back from Wales duty, while Matthew Jones could be fit.
Once-capped Jones has been out since tearing knee ligaments in August, but has targeted the end of February for a comeback.
Sonny Parker and Filo Tiatia hope to be back from groin injuries in early March.
 | It's a professional sport, careers are short and players have to cash in Terry Holmes on rumours of a Mike Phillips move to the Ospreys |
Ian Evans (shoulder), Lyndon Bateman (knee ligament) and David Bishop (knee) will be out until next season.
They could be joined in pre-season training at the Liberty Stadium by Mike Phillips, with rumours circulating that the Wales scrum-half has agreed a big-money switch to the Ospreys from Cardiff Blues.
Cardiff, Wales and Lions scrum-half legend Terry Holmes says that Phillips would be a fool not to make the move, if suggestions of a 180,000 per annum salary prove to be true.
"It's a professional sport, careers are short and players have to cash in," said Holmes.
Should Phillips move, the Ospreys' Kiwi scrum-half Jason Spice - who is out of contract in the summer - could travel in the opposite direction and join the Arms Park side.
The Ospreys future of All Black-great Justin Marshall will also come under scrutiny.
The scrum-half is under contract until the summer of 2008 following a move from Leeds at the end of last season.
