Northampton Saints dominate the Rugby Players Association awards shortlist. Full-back Ben Foden, flanker Phil Dowson and prop forward Soane Tonga'uiha are in the running for the player of the year accolade. Saracens hooker Schalk Brits and London Irish flanker Steffon Armitage complete the line up. Leicester's Dan Coles and Ben Youngs, Saints' Chris Ashton and Courtney Lawes and Wasps' Dom Waldouck are nominated for the young player of the year award. Foden's nomination is his second in successive years after the England full-back won the young player's title in 2009. Armitage is also in the nominations for a second year after he lost out in the same category. The winners will be announced at the RPA annual dinner on Wednesday, 26 May.
