Hartley motivated by Saracens celebrations

Northampton captain Dylan Hartley says Saracens celebrations after their recent win over Saints will motivate them for the Premiership play-offs.

Saints must beat London Irish on Saturday to guarantee a second-place finish and a home semi-final.

"Hearing Saracens sing and celebrate after their league victory here is enough motivation," Hartley told BBC Radio Northampton.

"I look at our team and I like to think that we are humble when we win."

Hartley added: "For them to celebrate like that [left] a lot of frustrated players.

"But you know we take that as motivation and we look forward to playing them again hopefully at home semi here and get a result."

Saints will face Sarries in the play-off semi-finals but the venue, either Franklin's Gardens or Vicarage Road, will be decided on Saturday.

Saracens travel to Welford Road to meet Premiership leaders Leicester Tigers. If they win and Northampton lose in Reading the semi-final will be played in Watford.

Regardless of the venue the play-off will be held on Sunday, 16 May.
