Diggin was disappointed at Northampton's Welford Road defeat |
Northampton Saints winger Paul Diggin has promised his side will learn important lessons from Saturday's 29-15 Premiership defeat at Leicester. Saints missed out on a bonus point and swapped places in the table with the Tigers, who climb from fifth to fourth. "It's a learning curve for the boys," Diggin told BBC Radio Northampton. "We will progress from here because we need to start winning matches away from home if we're to manage a top-four place come the end of the season." Diggin added: "It was very frustrating. I think we played most of the rugby and had most of the possession, but little errors crept in. "When you're at home you get the bounce of the ball - but when you're away with 22,000 fans screaming at you, then it's tough." Saints now have only a few days to regroup, with their Anglo-Welsh Cup campaign away to Ospreys at the Liberty Stadium on Thursday (1945 GMT).
