Reihana is relishing another battle with local rivals Leicester |
Northampton Saints stalwart Bruce Reihana insisted there was still room for improvement in the wake of Saturday's 21-16 victory over Sale. The 33-year-old winger was named man of the match after scoring the Saints' second try against the Sharks in the Guinness Premiership. But he told BBC Radio Northampton: "We know we need to be a lot harder and more disciplined. "When you create opportunities you need to put points on the board." He added: "A win is a win - but we could have won it a lot more easily." Saints led 18-3 early in the second half at Franklin's Gardens, but then allowed the visitors to score 10 unanswered points before closing out the victory. The result keeps Northampton fourth in the table, three points clear of local rivals Leicester Tigers who entertain Saints at Welford Road this weekend. "This one has been at the back of our minds for a long time," added Reihana. "It'll be a tough battle. You can't just go there and be weak because if you do you'll be blasted off the pitch."
