Gray joined the Saints from Doncaster Knights in April 2008
Experienced Northampton Saints flanker Scott Gray believes the club are benefiting from keeping much of last season's team together.
Saints have won two of their opening three Guinness Premiership games after adding six players over the summer.
Gray told BBC Radio Northampton: "We didn't have as many players coming and going. It was a good squad last season.
"We're building, and there's a good environment. We're getting on well, just trying to win games."
Saints beat Gloucester 27-14 at Kingsholm over the weekend, matching their league winning record on the road for the entire of last season.
"Winning away takes guts and determination. It was something we were aiming for, but we've got to build on it. We can't go back to not winning away," Gray added.
Northampton finished seventh in the Premiership last year following their promotion from National One.
