Jim Mallinder is targeting a first win away from home for Saints |
Northampton boss Jim Mallinder claimed a first away league victory of the season was within reach after seeing his side win at home again. Saints hit back from 13-6 down to beat Harlequins 23-13 at Franklin's Gardens on Saturday. It was their third success of the Premiership campaign, all of them coming on home territory. "We know we can do it and we're slowly getting there," Mallinder told BBC Radio Northampton. "If you think back to some of our early-season performances - Leicester comes to mind and the first hour against Saracens, we've proved that we can play anywhere. "It's just about believing in ourselves and also getting a little bit of Lady Luck on our side," he added. Northampton's latest victory left them on 15 points from nine matches, six points clear of bottom club Bristol. Mallinders side will get the chance to try and record a first away victory of the season when they travel to Bath on Saturday, 27 December.
