 Mustoe joins on a season-long loan |
The Dragons' board have released extra funding following Heineken Cup qualification, and the regional side's summer recruitment has stepped up. Ospreys wing Richard Mustoe has joined on a season-long loan, a deal that worked well with Aled Brew last year.
Wales Under-20 captain and prop Hugh Gustafson has joined from the Scarlets.
The Gwent side have targeted talent worldwide, and are believed to be trailing two South African forwards and two Russian international forwards.

Paul Emerick, Jamie Corsi, Ashley Smith, Phil Dollman, Gareth Maule, Alix Walker, Lewis Evans and James Harris have all signed contract extensions at Rodney Parade.
"It is welcome news that some extra funds are available and will certainly give us the ability to bring in some quality to replace players that have left," said head coach Paul Turner.
"Next season is going to be a huge challenge both in the Magners League and back in with the big boys of the Heineken Cup, and the squad are looking forward to that.
"We hope that the momentum we have started in this past season will take us on to better and bigger things.
"The support has been phenomenal and people have commented to me about the special kind of atmosphere and we hope that will be in evidence next season."
The Dragons have lost the likes of Ian Gough, Gareth Cooper, Aled Brew and Nathan Brew, though, and their funding still lags some way behind the other Welsh regions.
