Newcastle's European Challenge Cup game at Bourgoin, which was scheduled for Saturday, has been postponed because of a frozen pitch for a second time.

Referee Neil Paterson had deemed the pitch unplayable on Saturday after meeting with officials from both clubs.

A further pitch inspection was held on Sunday morning when it was decided that the game could not go ahead.

In a statement European Rugby Cup said it would consider the outcome of the match, which was a dead rubber.
