Falcons winger Bobo expecting a tough test at Exeter

Newcastle Falcons winger Gcobani Bobo is warning his teammates not to underestimate the Exeter Chiefs when the sides meet this weekend.

The Falcons travel to Sandy Park on Saturday, with Bobo admitting it will be a tough task for his side to claim back-to-back League wins.

"I think they're a very good side and people have underestimated them," Bobo told BBC Newcastle.

"Their forwards have done very well and have matched most teams."

After the Falcons' impressive 29-17 home win over London Wasps last week, Bobo is viewing this weekend's trip to Exeter as a test to see what his side can achieve this season.

The South African said: "We know that we are capable of doing something good.

"Playing away from home against a team that's got everything to prove will be a measure of ourselves."

I am enjoying my rugby and hopefully it will get even better.

Bobo, who joined Newcastle in summer 2009, has started this season playing on the wing for Alan Tait's side despite usually operating as a centre.

He added: "It's good because I can be any where I want to be and I have a free reign.

"Against Sale it was not adequate. I want to get my hands on the ball and tackle a bit more."

After making 33 appearances for the Falcons in his debut season at Kingston Park, Bobo says he is happy at Newcastle and is looking forward to his future on Tyneside.

"I am enjoying my rugby and hopefully it will get even better."
