Walder was sidelined for five months with a fractured tibula
Wasps fly-half Dave Walder says he was delighted to be back after returning from injury but was disappointed with the 10-11 defeat against Worcester.
Walder told BBC London 94.9: "Everyone knows deep down how much it hurts. We've got to put it right."
The 30-year-old was back in action on Sunday after recovering from an injury to his ankle which he picked up against the Warriors at Adams Park in April.
"Playing like that we're not doing ourselves any favours."
Walder added: "It was nice to be running around and playing full on. I was just happy to be out there. It was ironic it was against Worcester which was the team I injured it against, shame that the result wasn't the same."
The Guinness Premiership champions face Northampton away on 20 September and Walder says they will have to look at their shortcomings in the opening two games of the season.
"We need to start helping each other out a bit more. There's a lot of hard work, a lot of looking at your individual games.
"People have to look at themselves and what they can do better and in turn that will reflect on the team."
