Sinclair has made 15 appearances for Canada |
London Irish have signed Canada flanker Jebb Sinclair on a one-year contract. The blind-side flanker, 25, joins from Canadian side Atlantic Rock and will arrive after the Rugby World Cup. He came to head coach Toby Booth's attention after starring in the recent Churchill Cup, playing in all three games for Canada. Sinclair said: "Moving to London Irish offers me the opportunity to test myself against the best players in the northern hemisphere." He added: "I'm looking forward to joining up with the squad after the World Cup and pulling on the London Irish jersey for the first time." Booth said: "I saw a lot of Jebb during the recent Churchill Cup and I was impressed. "His work rate around the park was of a high standard and allowed others around him to shine, that is what you need from a forward in the Premiership. "He offers another line-out option and is a strong ball carrier which will further strengthen us for this season."
