London Irish expect tough test from 'desperate' Leeds
Rudd joined the Exiles after a short spell at Bradford Bulls
London Irish wing John Rudd expects a tough challenge from a 'desperate' Leeds team this weekend.
The Exiles need to win to keep alive their play-off hopes, while Leeds are battling to stay in the Premiership.
Rudd told BBC Berkshire: "I think we can expect a reaction because they were beaten last week heavily by Quins.
"Leeds still have Worcester to play, so maybe they'll prioritise that game. But whatever team they bring, they're going to be extremely difficult."
The Exiles are back up to fourth in the Premiership table after last weekend's win at Worcester.
Rudd says they are well set up for the final three games of the regular season.
"We had a bit of a blip after Christmas in our form but we're back on track now and are where we want to be. We're looking good and have some momentum going into the last few games.
"But it's going to be tough. Leeds are desperate and fighting for their lives, Gloucester are resurgent and Northampton are one of the star teams of the season, so we still have a lot of work to do, but we're more than capable."
Rudd joined Irish initially on trial in October 2009. He says it has been a good move for him.
"For a winger it was quite simple to come in because we play a wide, expansive game. The team win more often than not and the guys have some great skill levels.
"So as a winger it's great, you slot in easily and it's an absolute joy to be out there. I think I do offer something different and I think it complements the squad that we have such a contrast in quite a few positions."
London Irish versus Leeds kicks off at 15.00 BST on Sunday 18 April and is live on BBC Berkshire.
