Geraghty would not be fit until May at the earliest
London Irish head coach Toby Booth says he is resigned to being without Shane Geraghty for the rest of the season, BBC Radio Berkshire understands.
The fly-half injured his left wrist during Sunday's 21-16 defeat against Wasps as Adams Park.
Booth said: "He's cracked scaphoid in his left wrist - it'll probably be eight weeks minimum.
"We'll be lucky if we get him back for the knocking end of the season. It adds to our World XV of an injury list."
Geraghty joins Peter Hewat, Bob Casey and Faan Rautenbach on the list of the long-term injured.
But Booth said there is some good news on the horizon.
"Kieran Roche has trained for the last ten days, along with Danny Murphy, so hopefully they'll be available for selection from this week onwards," added Booth.
"Topsy Ojo had some fluid drained off his knee, so hopefully he'll come back too.
"But it's certainly testing our small squad to an extreme. We're still putting ourselves into positions to win games.
"We just have to roll our sleeves up and get on with it."
