Paice will miss four Premiership matches |
London Irish's David Paice has been banned for four weeks for verbally abusing match officials. The Exiles hooker was sent off in Saturday's 14-9 Premiership loss to Harlequins after a scuffle with Quins prop Mark Lambert. Paice admitted two counts of abusing referee Tim Wigglesworth and fourth official Dave Pearson as he went off. The ban ends on 16 March, meaning the next game Paice can play will be against Northampton six days later. | 606: DEBATE |
He will miss the Premiership matches against Bath, Leicester, Wasps and Worcester. The hearing was chaired by the Rugby Football Union's disciplinary officer, Judge Jeff Blackett.
