Irish ring the changes for Rovigo

Declan Danaher

London Irish flanker Declan Danaher will make his 200th Exiles appearance in Saturday's game away to Rovigo.

The 29-year-old will lead the Exiles out in Italy for their final European Challenge Cup pool match.

Coach Toby Booth has made nine changes to the team that thrashed Connacht 75-5 last weekend.

Number eight Richard Thorpe is captain for the first time, with Irish needing a win to secure top seeding for the knock-out stages.

Danaher becomes the fifth London Irish player in the professional era to achieve the double century of appearances for the club.

Coach Toby Booth said: "On behalf of all connected with the club I want to congratulate Declan Danaher on achieving his special milestone.

"As a 'one-club' player he is a rarity in the modern era and is an exemplary professional who has given so much to this club.

"He recently re-signed for another three years and hopefully will enjoy lots more good times over coming seasons."
