Reading striker seals Orient move

Simon Church
Church will be eligible for Orient's game at Hartlepool on Saturday

Leyton Orient have signed Wales under-21 striker Simon Church on a one-month loan from Reading.

The 20-year-old becomes Geraint Williams' second signing since taking over at Brisbane Road.

Williams told the club's website: "We're delighted to have signed Simon on a month's loan.

"He is a hard-working player who comes with a good endorsement from Welsh under-21 manager Brian Flynn and it's great to have him on board."

Church, is yet to make a first-team appearance for Reading but has previously had loan spells at Crewe, Yeovil and Wycombe.

"He is a young man with international experience and he has done very well for Wales under-21s," added Williams.

"Simon scored three times in their play-off matches and he will bring quality to our attacking options."
