Dermody made his All Blacks debut against Ireland last year |
London Irish have signed All Blacks and Highlanders prop Clarke Dermody on a two-and-a-half year deal as New Zealand's player exodus continues. The 27-year-old will join up with the Exiles after the World Cup in November.
"It is exciting but it's like shifting to a new school. I won't know anyone until I start making a few new mates," he told the Southland Times.
Carl Hayman, Chris Jack, Byron Kelleher and Aaron Mauger are some of the other players moving after the World Cup.

Hayman is joining Newcastle, Jack has signed for Saracens, Mauger is moving to Leicester while Kelleher will play for French side Agen next season.
Dermody has played for Southland for six seasons and he admitted that having to shift his young family from Invercargill to Dunedin every six months for Super 14 duty with the Highlanders was a factor in his decision.
He made his All Blacks debut in the first Test against Ireland in June last year and scored his first try in the second Test on 17 June.
Dermody won his third cap against England at Twickenham last autumn.
