Jones has been talking with clubs about a possible move away from Stradey Park |
French club Biarritz have poured cold water on speculation linking them with Scarlets and Wales fly-half Stephen Jones. Reports in the French press claim the 30-year-old was set for a move there but president Marcel Martin has denied any contact has been made.
"There has been no contact whatsoever between Stephen Jones or his agent," said Martin.
"That is totally false, I deny it completely."
Jones re-signed for the Scarlets in the summer of 2006 after spending two seasons with French club Clermont Auvergne.
The deal runs until 2009, but it contains a clause allowing him to look for other offers this month.

Scarlets chief executive Stuart Gallacher told BBC Wales Sport that Jones is currently holding talks with other clubs over a possible move.
A return to France could be a distinct possibility, while English giants Leicester are also in the market for an experienced number 10.
But Martin said the reports suggested Biarritz were going to offer Jones a 300,000 deal - a figure he described as "totally astronomic".
"Stephen Jones is out of our reach," he said.
"But as far as we are concerned, we have two fly-halves and we have made no contact with Stephen Jones.
"The situation will not change."
