Scarlets sign Dragons back Brew
Nathan Brew
Brew is looking to force his way into the Wales squad
Newport Gwent Dragons back Nathan Brew will join Llanelli Scarlets next season on a two-year contract.

Brew, who has not played since the end of December because of an ankle injury, can play at centre or wing and has been capped once by Wales.

"We're delighted to bring Nathan on board. He is a quality addition to our squad," said Scarlets director of rugby Phil Davies.

Brew, 24, has scored four tries for the Dragons in 14 appearances this season.

He won a surprise call into the Wales squad for the tour to Argentina last summer, but missed out on any game-time.

His only cap so far came in a try-scoring debut against Romania in 2003, his progress sine then hampered by groin and thumb injuries.

The Scarlets say they will not announce any more possible signings until the future of the new stadium is decided.

A public planning inquiry was held into the project in January and the region is now waiting for planning approval from the Welsh Assembly Government.
