Brew went off shortly after scoring a crucial try against the Blues |
Newport Gwent Dragons and Wales three quarter Nathan Brew is likely to be missing until well into the new year. The 24-year-old scored the home side's only try in the 14-13 win over Cardiff Blues at Rodney Parade, but went off 10 minutes later with an ankle injury.
He is waiting on an x-ray to determine the full extent of the damage.
Second-row Luke Charteris could also be a doubt for the New Year's Eve derby with the Ospreys in Swansea after suffering nose damage in the Blues win.
But fellow Dragons and Wales lock Ian Gough is expected to be available after missing the Blues clash with a stomach complaint.
Dragons coach Paul Turner is still looking to bring a prop in to bolster his threadbare squad.
But he will be without his Wales squad members for the final weekend in January as national coach Gareth Jenkins says they will be needed for Six Nations preparation.
