Leicester's Tom Croft sees end to injury nightmare

Leicester and England forward Tom Croft is itching to get back on the pitch after an injury-ravaged nine months.

Croft has missed most of the domestic season and England's Six Nations campaign after twice injuring his knee.

He told BBC Radio Leicester: "I can't wait. It's been very disappointing not being involved with Leicester and in the Six Nations.

"I've only played seven or eight games this season. After last season it's been a shock and very frustrating."

And although he is eager to play for the national side, Croft says his first priority is helping the Tigers in the Premiership run-in.

"The boys have put the club in a great position at this time of the season," Croft said.

"It's all about playing at Leicester, getting my fitness back and getting some game time.

"If I'm not fit and playing for Leicester then playing for England is out of the question."
