Waldrom has not been capped by the All-Blacks

Leicester Tigers head coach Richard Cockerill has confirmed that Canterbury Crusaders number eight Thomas Waldrom is a transfer target for next season.

Cockerill said: "We're looking at Thomas and several others in case guys decide their future lies elsewhere."

But Cockerill also insisted a deal for the 26-year-old was far from sealed.

"He's a good player and we'll look at any good players but just because we are talking it doesn't mean anything," Cockerill told BBC Radio Leicester.
