We're obviously not going to settle for losing bonus points; it's not who we are or the way we operate
George Chuter
Leicester Tigers hooker George Chuter says he and his fellow forwards have to up their game after a below-par display in last week's 15-12 defeat at Sale.
Sharks set up the win when they kicked a penalty awarded against Tigers following the first scrum of the game.
And Chuter told BBC Radio Leicester: "It was a feather in the cap for them and we have to look at ourselves there.
"We've been honest with each other; it's not good enough. We've got a lot of internationals in the pack."
But although Chuter admitted there was much to work on, he said it was not all doom and gloom
"It was a disappointment both in terms of the performance and the result," the England forward said.
"Having said that, we have to take some positives - we've played some good rugby at times and we've come away from Sale with a point.
"A lot of our driving was good. Maybe we were a little bit blinkered towards the end but perhaps that comes with some experience as a team, and as forwards we need to be a bit more urgent with the ball on the floor and 50-50 balls that we didn't make our own.
"But we're obviously not going to settle for losing bonus points; it's not who we are or the way we operate."
