White will be available for the Guinness Premiership play-offs

Leicester prop Julian White has been suspended for two weeks for punching Sale's Andrew Sheridan in the Tigers' 37-31 win on Saturday.

The veteran appeared before a Rugby Football Union disciplinary panel on Tuesday and it had been feared he could miss the rest of the season.

Saturday's red card was White's fourth sending-off in seven years.

The 35-year-old will return for the final Premiership game of the season against Bristol on 25 April.

He will miss Saturday's Heineken Cup quarter-final against Bath but would be back for the semi-finals if the Tigers progress, and the Premiership play-offs.
