Hipkiss had been out action since injuring his knee in January |
Leicester centre Dan Hipkiss has praised the Tigers' backroom staff after he made a try-scoring return to action in the win at Bristol on Friday. Hipkiss had missed seven games with a knee injury, but returned to help the Tigers to a crucial 23-17 victory. "I was pleased," he said. "[Strength and conditioning coach] Alex Martin and my physio Bobby did a really good job. "I am grateful as they did a lot of hard work and put in a lot of research to try to get me back into shape." Hipkiss' try with 13 minutes left proved critical, the 26-year-old collecting a pass from Ben Youngs and finishing under the posts. "Fair play to Ben, he has done a lot for us," added Hipkiss. "He is a talent and I am grateful for him making that opportunity. He showed some great passes and I think he is going to be one for the future."
