Lewis-Pratt scored 16 of Leeds' 21 points on his debut |
Leeds coach Neil Back says Christian Lewis-Pratt and James Tincknell will become key players for his side. Fly-half Lewis-Pratt, 19, and centre Tinknell, 22, impressed on their debuts in the 22-21 defeat at Gloucester. "Christian showed great maturity in his game management. He knows what he needs to work on and he will continue to improve," Back told BBC Radio Leeds. "James also gave a fantastic show and he will be a key player for us later in the season." Lewis-Pratt's appearance at Kingsholme was his first in the Premiership, despite having had spells at London Irish and Northampton. He scored 16 of Leeds' 21 points at Glouceseter. Tincknell's appearance, off the bench, marked a major milestone in an incredible two years. Having being forced to end his cricket career at Durham due to a back injury, Tincknell turned his hand to rugby and after a season at Old Otliensians, then a move to Wharfedale, was snapped up by Leeds. Back added: "He was kid we brought in, seen as a development player. But through pre-season and the A League games he is continuing to climb. "He wanted to show what he could do the in Premiership and he did well. Potentially he kept it a bit long and could have offloaded to his support more. "But we can help him improve and he will be a key player for us."
