Harlequins are now fourth in the table |
Wing Ugo Monye says Harlequins cannot feel sorry for Newcastle's club problems ahead of Saturday's match. Falcons director of rugby John Fletcher and forwards coach Peter Walton left by mutual consent earlier in March and have only won six games this season. Monye told BBC London 94.9: "I could spare a thought for them next week but this is a business. "I'm going to be fairly ruthless; when we cross the whitewash we won't feel sorry for them." Harlequins are currently the top London side after wins over Gloucester, Bath and Bristol have pushed them up to fourth in the Guinness Premiership table. Looking ahead to this weekend's sold out match at the Twickenham Stoop, Monye said: "I think there's a lot to be said about a team that's desperate, that's motivation enough. "You've really got to approach the game with a bit more caution, you're going to expect a potential backlash from Newcastle. If you're not on your game at 100% and you take the opposition a bit lightly you're going to get punished." Harlequins against Newcastle kicks off at 1500 GMT Saturday 29 March.
