Gloucester's away form must improve - Luke Narraway

Gloucester's vice-captain Luke Narraway says improving the team's away form will be key to success in the Premiership this season.

Last season Gloucester managed only two away wins, at Leeds and Worcester.

Narraway told BBC Gloucestershire: "We did struggle [away from home] and that's why we weren't in the mix at the end of the season.

"Those two wins need to become five or six. We've got to make sure our mentality is right."

Narraway also believes the squad are leaner and fitter than a year ago, after the input of new strength and conditioning coach Barny Allen in pre-season.

"Barny's had a long apprenticeship under Mike Anthony and Mark Bitcon, and I'm glad he's been given a shot now so that he can put his stamp on the team," he said.
